The partnership is Zoox’s first with a third-party platform, giving Uber riders the chance to be matched with a Zoox robotaxi
Zoox and Uber Technologies have announced a partnership to deploy Zoox purpose-built robotaxis through the Uber app, with a launch in Las Vegas planned for summer 2026 and an expansion to Los Angeles by mid-2027. The agreement marks the first time Zoox has partnered with a third-party ride-hailing platform.
Riders using the Uber app in the two cities will be eligible to be matched with a Zoox robotaxi on qualifying trips. Zoox will continue to operate its own app-based service alongside the Uber deployment in both markets.

Unlike retrofitted passenger vehicles, Zoox robotaxis are purpose-built for ride-hailing, with an interior designed for passenger comfort and social use. The Amazon-owned company says the vehicle’s design distinguishes it from other autonomous ride-hailing offerings currently in operation.
In a statement, Aicha Evans, Chief Executive Officer of Zoox, said: “This partnership is an opportunity to continue advancing the use of autonomous mobility in daily life. Through our collaboration, Zoox will provide a differentiated rider experience to those who already know and love the convenience of riding with Uber.”
Dara Khosrowshahi, Chief Executive Officer of Uber, added: “Zoox’s commitment to safety and their advanced autonomous driving technology make them an ideal partner. We’re thrilled to work together to introduce more riders to the future of mobility.”
