Solaris is showcasing the Urbino 10.5 electric at Mobility Move 2026 in Berlin, a compact midibus built around the manufacturer’s modular drive concept that eliminates the traditional engine tower to maximise passenger space. The model, which recently received the Sustainable Bus Award 2026, is designed for urban routes where a standard 12-metre vehicle is impractical.

The Urbino 10.5 electric is 10.5 metres in length and can carry up to 85 passengers, including up to 33 seated, which Solaris says is among the highest capacities in the midibus segment. A turning radius of under 17 metres makes the e-bus suited to dense urban areas, historic city centres and feeder routes.

The vehicle is powered by a 240 kW electric motor and batteries with a capacity of up to 400 kWh, enabling a full day of operation without intermediate charging. It supports both plug-in and pantograph charging and is fitted with a CO₂ heat pump for cabin heating. The e-bus complies with GSR2 safety standards and can be equipped with additional driver assistance systems.

Mobility Move 2026 runs from 10 to 12 March in Berlin, bringing together representatives from the public transport sector for presentations, networking and knowledge exchange.
