Toshiba launches four photorelays for high-temp test use

Four new voltage-driven photorelays from Toshiba Electronics Europe target automotive test systems with 135°C thermal tolerance

Toshiba Electronics Europe has launched four new photorelays designed for use in advanced test and measurement equipment, offering higher thermal tolerance and a more compact footprint than existing products. The TLP3407SRB, TLP3412SRB, TLP3412SRHB and TLP3412SRLB are rated for operation at temperatures up to 135°C and housed in an S-VSON4T package measuring 1.45 × 2.0 mm.

The new devices exceed the 125°C maximum operating temperature of existing products, making them suited to thermally demanding applications including automotive semiconductor testers, burn-in systems and probe cards. As automotive development increasingly involves electrification and autonomous systems, engineers face growing pressure to design circuits capable of withstanding elevated temperatures in constrained spaces.

All four models are voltage-driven and incorporate built-in input resistors, eliminating the need for external components and reducing overall component count. The simplified circuit design frees board space and supports higher-density layouts.

The TLP3407SRB carries an ON-state current rating of up to 1A, while the TLP3412SRB, TLP3412SRHB and TLP3412SRLB offer low ON-state resistance and fast response times for high-speed switching applications. The S-VSON4T package supports high-density mounting, enabling multiple relays to be integrated into limited board space.
