Rept Battero pushes battery range at Auto China 2026

Rept Battero used Auto China 2026 in Beijing to launch a battery cell capable of charging from 10% to 80% state of charge in under six minutes. The Chinese cell maker also announced a solid-liquid hybrid battery platform and two new products targeted at electric commercial vehicles.

The new Wending Flash Charging Technology operates between -40°C and +70°C and is built on the Wending 3.0 structure, which cuts tab length by 50% to lower internal resistance. Rept Battero said its Wending family has shipped over 20 million units to date with no safety incidents on record.

The solid-liquid hybrid platform covers both manganese and high-nickel chemistries. The manganese cell, aimed at mainstream battery EVs and plug-in hybrids, retains 80% of capacity at -40°C and offers cycle life of more than 4,000 times, while the high-nickel variant for long-range flagships hits 280 to 400 Wh/kg energy density.

Rept Battero also launched a 350 kW/h laminated clusterless battery for engineering vehicles such as concrete mixers and short-haul tipper trucks, with the cell maker arguing the reduced component count improves reliability. A separate 2C fast-charging battery for electric mining vehicles cuts single charging time to about 30 minutes, with the company claiming an 11.4% lift in transport capacity and an 11% cut in fleet procurement cost.
