Renault will display the production-ready Trafic Van E-Tech electric at the Commercial Vehicle Show, ahead of orders opening later in 2026
Renault will showcase the production version of the Trafic Van E-Tech electric at the Commercial Vehicle Show 2026, marking the model’s UK debut at NEC Birmingham from 21 to 23 April. Built on a dedicated skateboard platform with 800V fast-charging architecture, the van delivers a range of up to 450 km (WLTP, pending homologation) and will be the first software-defined vehicle (SDV) produced by Renault.
The 800V system supports DC charging from 15% to 80% in around 20 minutes, recovering up to 260 km of range. Two battery options will be offered: a long-range NMC unit rated at up to 450 km, and an LFP alternative delivering up to 350 km that uses no cobalt or nickel.

Load volume reaches 5.8 m³, with a payload of up to 1.25 tonnes and a towing capacity of 2 tonnes. An overall height of 1.90 m and a 10.3-metre turning circle support operation in urban environments, including access to underground car parks.
As Renault’s first SDV, the Trafic E-Tech supports over-the-air software updates to add features and improve performance without hardware changes. The van also features Vehicle-to-Load and Vehicle-to-Grid capability, alongside the OpenR multimedia system with commercial vehicle-specific navigation on a 12-inch screen.
Production will take place at Renault Group’s Sandouville plant in France, with orders expected to open later in 2026.
