Volvo Car UK has launched the EX30 Cargo, a fleet-only electric van based on the EX30 SUV, priced from £36,010 on the road
Volvo Car UK has launched the EX30 Cargo, a car-derived electric van developed from the EX30 compact SUV and aimed at business and fleet customers. Priced from £36,010 on the road, the vehicle is available exclusively through Volvo’s fleet sales channels and marks the company’s first commercial vehicle offering in the UK market.
The conversion replaces the rear seats with a flat floor and access panel, delivering a payload capacity of 390kg and 1,000 litres of load space. A payload bulkhead separates the cabin from the cargo area, with modified rear side panels, wider-opening rear doors and an integrated cargo work light among the practical additions. Two variants are offered: the standard EX30 Cargo and the EX30 Cross Country Cargo, which adds increased ground clearance.

Powertrain options span the P3 (150hp) and P5 (272hp) extended range units, with the P5 also available in standard range form and the P8 (428hp) all-wheel-drive powertrain offered for higher-performance requirements. The P3 extended range variant, new for model year 2027, provides an electric range of up to 300 miles. Two trim levels are available: Core and Plus, alongside the Cross Country Plus.
In a statement, Jack Munford, Head of Fleet at Volvo Car UK, said: “While we are best known for our passenger vehicles, we recognise that business owners and fleets also want the quality, safety and technology that Volvo is renowned for in a compact commercial vehicle too, which is why we created the extremely practical EX30 Cargo.”
