Mercedes-Benz Trucks has launched the battery-electric eArocs 400 for construction use, with orders open now across 13 EU markets
Mercedes-Benz Trucks has opened order books for the battery-electric eArocs 400 across 13 EU markets, marking the truckmaker’s entry into the electric construction vehicle segment. The e-truck, which made its world premiere at bauma Munich last year, will enter production at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Wörth am Rhein from the third quarter of 2026, with electric drivetrain integration carried out by Paul Group in Vilshofen an der Donau.
The eArocs 400 carries two lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery packs, each with a nominal capacity of 207 kW/h, offering a range of up to 240 kilometres in dump truck operation and up to 200 kilometres as a concrete mixer. The e-truck charges at up to 400 kW via a CCS2 interface, reaching 10 to 80 per cent in approximately 46 minutes, and operates on an 800-volt architecture.

Power is delivered through a central drive with an integrated three-speed transmission, producing 380 kW continuous output and 450 kW peak. Mercedes-Benz Trucks says the vehicle is at least 50 per cent more energy-efficient than a comparable diesel, supported by recuperation and electrically powered body functions.
The model is available in 37 and 44-tonne gross vehicle weight variants in an 8×4/4 axle configuration with four wheelbase options. It is suited to dump body and concrete mixer applications and can operate in low- and zero-emission zones.
“With the new battery-electric eArocs 400, we are enabling locally CO₂-free operations even in demanding construction environments,” said Stina Fagerman, Head of Marketing, Sales and Services at Mercedes-Benz Trucks. “This supports our customers in sustainably advancing and future-proofing their fleets.”
