Mercedes-AMG has revealed the interior of the upcoming GT 4-Door Coupé, featuring the new Race Engineer control system

Mercedes-AMG has revealed the interior of the upcoming GT 4-Door Coupé, featuring a driver-focused cockpit and the AMG Race Engineer system that provides direct control over the vehicle’s driving dynamics. The interior, developed in-house at Affalterbach, centres on three rotary controls that allow drivers to adjust response, agility, and traction in real time.

The Race Engineer Control Unit coordinates accelerator pedal response via the Response Control dial, adjusts cornering behaviour through Agility Control, and manages traction control intervention across nine stages. The digital cockpit combines a 10.2-inch instrument cluster with a 14.0-inch multimedia monitor angled towards the driver, with an optional 14.0-inch passenger display also available.

In a statement, Michael Schiebe, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG GmbH, said: “In the new Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé, we have consistently focused every interior detail on performance and implemented it with the highest precision. Even when stationary, the interior already showcases what the future GT 4-Door is capable of.”

The AMG Performance steering wheel features roller and rocker switches with two round buttons offering LCD displays for controlling driving functions without taking eyes off the road. Rear accommodation comprises contoured individual seats for two as standard, with a three-seater bench available as an option. A panoramic glass roof with SKY Control lighting can display illuminated AMG emblems and racing stripes matched to the ambient lighting.
