Hyundai has installed 400kW DC chargers at the Nürburgring, with free charging for Ioniq 5 N and Ioniq 6 N owners available from April
Hyundai Motor has installed two N Hyper Charger units at the Nürburgring racetrack in Germany, providing four charging points with a combined maximum output of 400kW DC at the Tourist Drive entrance. The chargers entered pilot operation on 14 March 2026, with complimentary charging for Ioniq 5 N and Ioniq 6 N owners available from April via the Charge myHyundai app in Europe.

The installation is Hyundai’s first ultra-fast charging station within the Nürburgring complex and is open to all electric vehicle (EV) brands. Under optimal conditions, the system can charge an Ioniq 5 N or Ioniq 6 N from 10% to 80% state of charge in approximately 18 minutes.
The Nürburgring deployment follows Hyundai’s installation of a fast-charging station for high-performance EVs at Inje Speedium in South Korea in 2023, as the automaker expands its dedicated charging infrastructure for performance models.

In a statement, JooN Park, Vice President of N Management Group at Hyundai Motor, said: “The N Hyper Chargers are a part of our efforts to build the infrastructure needed to fully unleash this potential. We hope this milestone empowers more car enthusiasts to conquer every corner of this ‘Green Hell,’ utilizing the full potential of electric performance.”
