Dongfeng Nissan has launched the NX8 mid-size electrified SUV in China, priced from CN¥159,900 (US$23,400) to CN¥209,900 (US$30,700), with sales beginning on 8 April. The NX8 is the third model in Nissan’s N Series and is available in both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and range-extended electric vehicle (REEV) variants.
The BEV lineup offers a maximum range of 650 km under China light-duty vehicle test cycle (CLTC) conditions, backed by an 800V architecture with 5C ultra-fast charging that recovers approximately 300 km of range in six minutes. The REEV delivers up to 310 km of electric-only range and a total range of 1,450 km, with fuel consumption of 4.51 litres per 100 km during gasoline operation.

The NX8 features dual 15.6-inch displays, Nissan OS 2.0 and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chipset, alongside a 63-inch equivalent augmented reality head-up display. Safety systems include a CATL battery monitoring package tested against 146 criteria and a driver assistance system co-developed with Momenta.
Interior features include a 773-litre boot, a bi-directional onboard refrigerator operating between -6°C and 55°C, and rear headroom of 1,285 mm. BEV deliveries began on 8 April, with REEV models due from mid-to-late May.
