ChargerHelp expands charging reliability platform

ChargerHelp has tripled the number of EV charging stations under management and launched a new partner programme

ChargerHelp has tripled the number of electric vehicle charging stations under management and launched a partner programme designed to coordinate hardware manufacturers, software providers and field technicians through its EMPWR platform. The company, which offers charging infrastructure reliability services, said it has collected more than 300 million data points to support machine learning algorithms that help distinguish between physical damage and software faults.

ChargerHelp said approximately 90% of charger outages are software-related, and that its platform can help increase uptime from around 60% to more than 90% by enabling remote diagnosis and reducing unnecessary service visits.

In a statement, Kameale Terry, Chief Executive of ChargerHelp, said: “Reliability at scale is a learning problem, not a maintenance problem. By unifying cross-network data with real-world field intelligence into a single platform, we reduce diagnosis and decision latency and create a flywheel where every resolved issue makes the system smarter.”

The company has also appointed Jerry Varnado as Senior Vice President of Operations, joining from ChargePoint where he led the global services business, and Brad Juhasz as Chief Product Officer, bringing experience from EV Connect and Eaton Corporation. The partner programme builds on existing integrations with more than 40 electric vehicle supply equipment providers.
