Within the last year, the UK, Germany and Spain have all announced new EV incentive plans. Ian Henry looks at the schemes and their potential impact
With the electric vehicle (EV) sales ramp-up continuing at slower-than-desired rates, governments in some of Europe’s major markets have launched new incentive programmes to increase adoption. The schemes in Spain, the UK, and Germany vary in terms of the sums available for each transaction and qualification of vehicles and consumers.
