WeRide deploys end-to-end ADAS in GAC Aion N60 SUV

GAC Aion has opened pre-sales for the Aion N60, a smart urban SUV and the first mass-produced vehicle jointly developed with autonomous driving firm WeRide. The N60 is powered by WeRide’s WRD 3.0, a one-stage end-to-end advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) covering urban roads, highways, parking and active and passive safety functions.

WeRide said the Aion N60 marks its first mass-production deployment of one-stage end-to-end technology on the Qualcomm Snapdragon platform, making it the first autonomous driving solution provider to have achieved mass production of the technology on both Nvidia Drive and Qualcomm Snapdragon. The system uses multi-object intention prediction and full-scenario semantic perception to interpret the behaviour of road users in real time.

The N60’s ADAS capabilities were developed using WeRide Genesis, a proprietary simulation model that generates realistic urban road networks, traffic participants and rare scenarios. WeRide said the platform enables validation in environments tens of thousands of times more complex than real-world public roads.

WeRide said it will continue working with Aion and other brands under GAC Group to bring intelligent driving systems to additional vehicle segments.
