Volkswagen’s nomination committee has put Hans Dieter Pötsch forward for re-election as supervisory board chairman at the June AGM
Volkswagen AG’s Nomination Committee has proposed Hans Dieter Pötsch for re-election as Chairman of the Supervisory Board, with the nomination set to go before shareholders at the automaker’s Annual General Meeting on 18 June 2026. The proposal will first be submitted to the Supervisory Board at its upcoming meeting before being put to a shareholder vote.
Pötsch has served as Chairman of the Supervisory Board since October 2015, having previously spent more than a decade as Volkswagen’s Group Board Member for Finance and Controlling. Before joining the automaker, he held chief executive roles at Dürr AG and Traub AG, and earlier positions at BMW AG and Trumpf GmbH.
In a statement, Pötsch said: “I have decided to stand for re-election to the Supervisory Board of Volkswagen AG. I am pleased to accept the request to continue leading the company as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board during these challenging times. My goal was, is, and remains to help strengthen this great company and make it resilient for the future.”
