Tensor debuts L4 personal robocar at European AV Summit

Tensor, a Silicon Valley-based autonomous vehicle developer, made its UK debut at the European AV Summit, presenting what the company describes as the world’s first level-4 (L4) autonomous vehicle designed for personal ownership. The Tensor Robocar supports both manual and fully autonomous operation and features a production-ready foldable steering wheel co-developed with automotive safety systems supplier Autoliv.

The vehicle is built on a full-stack redundancy architecture incorporating agentic artificial intelligence (AI), and is designed to meet regional safety standards across multiple markets. Tensor is targeting production in 2026, with initial availability planned for the UAE, European Union and United States.

The UK showcase follows Tensor’s global launch announcement in August 2025. The European AV Summit brought together regulators, insurers, researchers, OEMs, suppliers and city planners, with the UK positioned by the company as a lead market for L4 personal ownership and a roadmap for global deployment.

Tensor’s partner ecosystem includes Nvidia, Marsh, Oracle, VinFast and Arm, covering AI development, safety systems, cloud infrastructure and scalable manufacturing.
