Tata Elxsi unveils DevStudio.ai for automotive SDLC

DevStudio.ai is in use with automakers and tier one suppliers in North America, Japan, and India

Tata Elxsi has launched DevStudio.ai, a generative AI platform designed to accelerate automotive software development for automakers, system suppliers, and semiconductor companies. The multi-agent platform is aligned with ASPICE standards and supports all key stages of the V-cycle, including requirements, architecture, implementation, testing, and qualification.

The platform can operate on both cloud-based infrastructure and air-gapped on-premise environments. Tata Elxsi said it integrates with widely used OEM and tier one engineering toolchains, allowing teams to embed the AI system into existing development environments.

“The automotive industry is at an inflection point. Competitive pressures now demand software development at China speed,” Sundar Ganapathi, Chief Technology Officer of Automotive at Tata Elxsi, said. “DevStudio.ai helps address this challenge. It brings the power of generative AI into the automotive software development lifecycle.”

The platform is in use with global automakers and tier one suppliers in North America, Japan, and India across body, chassis, infotainment, and software-defined vehicle architectures. Tata Elxsi said early deployments have demonstrated speed-to-market and productivity gains.

Pallavi Dalal, Head of Automotive GenAI and AI Practice at Tata Elxsi, said: “We see the future of automotive software development where an AI co-engineer works alongside every engineer.”
