Suzuki has launched the e Every, a mini-commercial battery-electric van jointly developed with Daihatsu and Toyota, in Japan
Suzuki Motor Corporation has launched the e Every, a mini-commercial battery-electric van, in Japan. The vehicle was jointly developed by Suzuki, Daihatsu Motor Co and Toyota Motor Corporation, and is supplied to Suzuki on an OEM basis by Daihatsu.
The e Every is equipped with a 36.6 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery providing a range of 257 km under the Worldwide-harmonized Light vehicles Test Cycle (WLTC). It features an eAxle integrating the motor, inverter and transaxle, delivering torque that Suzuki says exceeds that of a turbocharged kei vehicle.

The battery is positioned under the floor to lower the vehicle’s centre of gravity, which Suzuki says reduces impacts when driving over bumps and uneven surfaces. The cargo area offers a maximum load capacity of 350 kg.
The e Every is available in two-seater and four-seater variants across three body colours. Standard equipment includes Daihatsu’s Smart Assist preventive safety system, adaptive driving beam headlamps and side view lamps. A digital rearview mirror is available as an accessory to support rear visibility when carrying cargo or driving at night.
The vehicle can also supply electricity externally in the event of power outages, the company says.
