StradVision wins India commercial vehicle ADAS deal

StradVision has been selected by a global commercial vehicle automaker to deploy its SVNet AI perception software across the OEM’s vehicle lineup in India, targeting fleet-scale ADAS rollout in the country’s commercial segment. The truckmaker has not been identified.

The programme is structured to run a single perception platform across multiple vehicle models, with the software adapted to model-specific hardware configurations. SVNet will support core ADAS functions including automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning and lane departure warning across the lineup.

India’s commercial vehicle market presents particular constraints for ADAS deployment, requiring perception software that can run on low-cost, resource-limited hardware while maintaining reliable detection in dense, mixed traffic. StradVision said SVNet is designed to handle these conditions, including two- and three-wheelers, pedestrians and other vulnerable road users typical of the Indian road environment.

The Korean firm has cumulatively deployed around five million SVNet units globally, a scale it positions as relevant to high-volume commercial programmes where production maturity matters alongside detection performance.
