SK Signet’s new 400 kW all-in-one charger uses SiC power modules and cuts installation footprint by 54%, with a European launch planned
SK Signet has launched a 400 kW all-in-one ultra-fast electric vehicle (EV) charger for the North American market, with a European launch targeted by the end of 2025. The South Korean charging equipment manufacturer said the unit achieves 96.5% power conversion efficiency and reduces the installation footprint by 54% compared to deploying two of its existing 200 kW all-in-one units to achieve the same output.
The charger integrates power cabinets and dispensers into a single unit, reducing civil construction costs relative to distributed systems. At its core is a silicon carbide (SiC)-based modular power architecture, with configurable output at 320 kW, 360 kW or 400 kW. Operators can scale capacity by adding power modules rather than replacing hardware, a design the company described as a pay-as-you-grow approach. The system can deliver between 150 kW and 250 kW to multiple vehicles simultaneously while supporting full 400 kW output for 800-volt battery platforms.

SK Signet said the unit has entered initial production in the United States. The charger supports both CCS1 and the North American Charging Standard (NACS), features liquid-cooled cables and a 32-inch touchscreen, and accepts multiple payment methods including Plug & Charge and RFID.
In a statement, Hyungki Cho, Chief Executive of SK Signet, said: “As high-power demand accelerates across the U.S., SK Signet will spearhead the evolution of ultra-fast charging networks by utilizing our unrivaled leadership in technology.”
