Rigterink Logistikgruppe is using LOTS Group’s Pathfinder tool to build data-driven electrification plans across its 400-unit fleet
Rigterink Logistikgruppe, a German family-run food logistics specialist operating more than 400 tractor units, has adopted Pathfinder, a planning and decision-support tool developed by LOTS Group, to advance its electrification strategy. The tool, built by the Scania subsidiary, helps carriers analyse transport flows, identify routes suited to electrification, and develop transition plans based on operational data.
With electric vehicles already in service, Rigterink is using Pathfinder to scale electrification across its network. The platform enables the company to build plans based on actual shipment patterns, battery capacity, and charging availability, and to evaluate different rollout scenarios through an in-house workflow.

A central objective is improving how Rigterink communicates its electrification plans to customers. Pathfinder allows the company to generate route maps, deployment phases, and quantified impacts to support fact-based discussions with shippers. “Now we walk in with concrete routes, numbers, and schedules. When a shipper asks detailed questions, we can open Pathfinder and show exactly what is possible,” the brothers Rigterink said.
In a statement, Johan Palmqvist, Managing Director at LOTS Group, said: “This collaboration marks an important step in turning electrification ambitions into actionable, data-driven plans for large transport networks.”
