The Bridger Concept is the forerunner to a production vehicle to be designed in India, a key market for Renault
Renault has revealed the name of its new show-car, Bridger Concept, a compact SUV under four metres long designed for urban use. The automaker says the show-car is the forerunner to a production vehicle to be designed in India as part of its international expansion.

Renault says the Bridger Concept is an urban SUV of “new proportions” with a bold and powerful design that does not compromise on interior space despite its compact dimensions. The vehicle is designed to meet the needs of families living in cities.
The name is derived from the English word “bridge”, which Renault says evokes robustness, connection and link. The automaker says the name reflects the assertive design of the show-car and embodies the promise of human connection on board.

In a statement, Sylvia dos Santos, Head of Naming Strategy with Renault’s Global Marketing Division, said: “With Bridger, we are adding to our family of names based on English words. The name Renault Bridger is part of the same approach as the name of Renault Duster. It’s a powerful, robust and versatile name, ideal to identify our new urban SUV show-car and open a new page in our international offensive.”
Renault will unveil the Bridger Concept on 10 March at the presentation of Renault Group’s futuREady strategic plan at the Technocentre in Guyancourt, France.
