Pony AI has partnered with ATBB to deploy driverless robotaxis in Beijing, starting with routes to Daxing International Airport
Pony AI has announced a partnership with Beijing ATBB Travel & Express Service Co. to deploy fully driverless robotaxis in China, beginning with routes to Beijing Daxing International Airport, which handled 53.6 million passenger trips in 2025. The deal advances Pony AI’s asset-light model, under which ATBB will manage fleet operations while Pony AI provides its Virtual Driver autonomous technology and dispatch systems, with both companies sharing in the economic returns.
The partnership targets premium business travel, including airport and high-speed rail transfers, with vehicles to be integrated into ATBB’s Xinghui Mobility platform. Pony AI said the collaboration supports its target of deploying more than 3,000 robotaxi vehicles by the end of 2026.
The company noted that its seventh-generation robotaxi achieved city-wide unit economics breakeven in Guangzhou last year. Both companies plan to expand the partnership into other major Chinese cities.
