Opel brings V2L technology to five electric models

Opel has introduced vehicle-to-load capability across the Astra, Grandland, Mokka, Corsa and Combo Electric, with up to 3.6 kW of output power

Opel has introduced vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability across its electric passenger car range, enabling drivers to power external devices directly from the vehicle battery. The technology is now standard on the Astra Electric, Astra Sports Tourer Electric, Grandland Electric, Mokka Electric, Corsa Electric and Combo Electric, delivering up to 3.6 kW via a V2L adapter at the charging port.

The Astra Electric, Astra Sports Tourer Electric, Grandland Electric and Combo Electric are equipped with an 11 kW three-phase bidirectional on-board charger as standard. The Mokka Electric and the 115 kW version of the Corsa Electric feature a single-phase 7.4 kW unit as standard, with an 11 kW three-phase charger available as an option for €700 (US$814). The Mokka GSE includes the 11 kW charger as standard equipment.

The updated Astra Electric, powered by a 58 kWh battery with 55 kWh usable capacity, now delivers a WLTP range of up to 454 km, an increase of approximately 35 km over the previous version. Opel is also offering an Electric All In package for private buyers in Germany purchasing a battery-electric model before 30 June 2026, which includes a home wallbox, e-routing functions, eight years of mobile charging and roadside assistance, and a battery warranty.
