Nexen Tire supplies OE tyres for Renault Filante

Nexen Tire has been selected to supply original equipment (OE) tyres for the Renault Filante, a hybrid crossover produced by Renault Korea for both the domestic South Korean market and export to Latin America and the Middle East. The South Korean tyre maker’s Roadian GTX all-season tyre, fitted in a 19-inch specification, was chosen for its suitability for hybrid powertrains, which place elevated technical demands on tyre performance due to the simultaneous use of an electric motor and an internal combustion engine.

The Roadian GTX is designed for SUVs and crossover utility vehicles (CUVs), featuring a zigzag tread pattern across a wide contact patch to distribute road pressure evenly and support stable handling. A low-noise-optimised block arrangement addresses the ride quietness requirements characteristic of electrified vehicles.

The fitment deepens Nexen Tire’s relationship with Renault Korea, following OE supply for the Grand Koleos mid-size SUV in 2024. The company entered the overseas OE market in 2012 and has since expanded its presence among premium global brands in Europe and beyond.
