Mitsubishi Motors has begun producing the Rogue plug-in hybrid and Navara pickup truck for sale under the Nissan brand
Mitsubishi Motors has begun production of the Rogue plug-in hybrid for Nissan’s North American market and the Navara pickup truck for Oceania, expanding OEM collaboration between the Alliance partners. Production of the Rogue plug-in hybrid started on 12 January at Mitsubishi’s Okazaki plant in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, while Navara production commenced on 20 December 2025 at the company’s Laem Chabang facility in Thailand.
The Rogue plug-in hybrid is scheduled for sale in North America during the first quarter of 2026, with the Navara set to launch in Oceania by the end of the same quarter. The arrangement allows Nissan to expand its product lineup while improving plant utilisation for Mitsubishi.
The OEM supply agreement forms part of broader Alliance collaboration on pickup truck development and electrification. Mitsubishi is also set to receive an OEM-supplied electric vehicle (EV) derived from Nissan’s new Leaf, which will be introduced to the North American market in the second half of 2026.
