Knorr-Bremse and WESP-Group are combining expertise to help commercial vehicle workshops improve operational efficiency through data analysis
Knorr-Bremse and Dutch company WESP-Group have established a joint venture to develop digital services for the commercial vehicle aftermarket, with a focus on data-driven benchmarking to help workshops improve operational efficiency. Knorr-Bremse holds a 51% stake in the new venture, named WESP CV, with WESP-Group’s WAGH B.V. holding the remaining 49%, and the company will be headquartered in Germany.
The joint venture will offer data-based consulting services to help commercial vehicle workshops identify efficiency potential, make informed decisions, and exploit previously untapped business opportunities. The companies said the platform will also provide market transparency for other industry participants.

Alexander Wagner, Vice President of Global Aftermarket and TruckServices at Knorr-Bremse Commercial Vehicles, said: “The joint venture combines WESP’s expertise in digital services for workshops with Knorr-Bremse’s expertise in the commercial vehicle market.”
Bas Wintjes, Managing Director of WAGH B.V., added: “In today’s environment, where it is becoming increasingly difficult to find skilled staff, it is more important than ever to ensure that workshop employees can work efficiently. Data-driven predictive maintenance solutions will play a central role in the future.”
Wintjes said the partnership represents an important step in the internationalisation of WESP-Group, combining Knorr-Bremse’s market expertise with the company’s practice-oriented benchmarking tools for the truck, trailer, and bus sectors.
