The electric grand-tourer concept makes its global debut at Milan Design Week after an initial reveal in Korea last December
Kia has unveiled the Vision Meta Turismo concept at Milan Design Week, marking the electric grand-tourer’s global debut after an initial reveal in Korea last December for the brand’s 80th anniversary. The concept is on display at Salone dei Tessuti in Milan alongside other Kia EV concepts until 26 April.

The concept applies Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design language to a grand-tourer silhouette inspired by 1960s long-distance touring. Jet-aircraft detailing informs a canard-inspired housing for the front lighting and rear-view camera, paired with a cab-forward profile.
Inside, the cabin splits into two seat layouts. The driver’s seat is set up for performance driving, while the passenger seat rotates 180 degrees when stationary to enable face-to-face interaction with rear occupants.

The steering wheel, inspired by gaming controllers, acts as the central interface for three modes: Speedster for performance driving with a wide-angle AR head-up display, Dreamer for urban AR overlays and Gamer for parked-mode virtual racing.

In a statement, Karim Habib, Executive Vice President and Head of Kia Global Design, said: “The Vision Meta Turismo marks a significant milestone, demonstrating how Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy also shapes our future vision of mobility. Harmonising the spirit of 1960s long-distance touring with the limitless possibilities of an immersive digital experience, we have created a vehicle that moves beyond the bounds of tradition.”
