Kia has won nine awards at the 2026 iF Design Awards, with the PV5 taking Gold in the automotive product design category
Kia has won nine awards at the 2026 iF Design Awards, led by an iF Design Award Gold in the automotive product design category for the PV5, its first purpose-built vehicle (PBV). The Gold award, which is strictly limited in number each year, cited the PV5’s flexibility, human-centred interior architecture and what judges described as a “cohesive, confident and unmistakably future-ready” design.
The remaining eight awards spanned product design, branding and communication design, concept and user interface categories. The Kia EV4 and EV4 Hatchback received recognition in automotive product design, while the Kia AI Assistant won in the app and software design category for its three-dimensional, motion-based interface. Two further awards went to the Kia x Playmobil campaign, which was tied to PV5 use cases including urban delivery, accessible taxi and mobile office, and appeared in both the branding and film categories.

In the concepts category, the Kia Concept EV2 compact urban SUV and the PV5 WKNDR adventure van variant both received awards. The PV5 Infotainment System was recognised in the user interface category for its role-adaptive interface architecture spanning commercial and lifestyle applications.
In a statement, Karim Habib, Executive Vice President and Head of Kia Global Design, said: “Winning an unprecedented nine awards across such a broad range of categories affirms our approach and motivates us to continue placing future-forward design at the centre of everything we do.” The wins bring Kia’s total iF Design Award tally to 46 since 2010.
