Keysight debuts two automotive Ethernet test solutions in Munich

Keysight Technologies is demonstrating two new automotive Ethernet receiver test solutions at AEC, covering 10BASE-T1S and optical nGBASE-AU architectures

Keysight Technologies is showcasing two new automotive Ethernet receiver test solutions at the Automotive Ethernet Congress (AEC) in Germany, targeting validation requirements across the 10BASE-T1S to 10GBASE-T1 speed range as vehicle network architectures shift toward higher-bandwidth, software-defined platforms. The solutions are designed to support automakers and suppliers accelerating the transition to zonal architecture.

The 10BASE-T1S Receiver Test Solution, developed in collaboration with BitifEye Digital Test Solutions, provides automated receiver compliance testing against the Open Alliance TC14 PMA Test Suite 5.2.1 specification, along with bit error rate (BER) verification under impaired channel and coupled-noise conditions. The solution also supports multi-drop network validation for scalable zonal architectures.

The second solution, the nGBASE-AU optical automotive Ethernet testbed, addresses bandwidth, electromagnetic interference resilience and long-reach communication requirements. It complies with IEEE 802.3cz Amendment 7 and Open Alliance TC7 specifications, and includes a TDFOM measurement suite covering optical modulation amplitude, extinction ratio and related signal quality parameters.

In a statement, Thomas Goetzl, Vice President and General Manager of Keysight’s Automotive and Energy Solutions division, said: “As vehicle architectures become more software-driven and data-intensive, the need for resilient, high-speed Ethernet communication is more critical than ever.”
