Hyundai has named former Nvidia Vice President Dr. Minwoo Park as head of its Advanced Vehicle Platform Division and 42dot

Hyundai Motor Group has appointed Dr. Minwoo Park, a former Nvidia and Tesla executive, as Head of its Advanced Vehicle Platform (AVP) Division and Chief Executive of software subsidiary 42dot, as the automaker seeks to accelerate its software-defined vehicle (SDV) and autonomous driving development. Park most recently served as Vice President at Nvidia, where he led mass production and commercialisation of the company’s self-driving software platform.
During his tenure at Tesla, Park led the first Tesla Vision release for Autopilot, overseeing the company’s transition to proprietary camera-based deep learning systems. At Nvidia, he built the development framework for autonomous driving perception technology and led vehicle integration projects for global automakers.
The appointment completes Hyundai’s leadership structure for future mobility technology, following the naming of Manfred Harrer as head of its research and development division in December 2025. The automaker said the move is intended to enhance execution of its SDV strategy and accelerate product development.
In a statement, Dr. Minwoo Park said: “Hyundai Motor Group possesses a uniquely strong foundation to rapidly realise world-class competitiveness in Physical AI across software-defined vehicles, autonomous driving, and robotics. I aim to make it a company where technology and people work together to lead the next generation of intelligent mobility, setting a new global benchmark for innovation.”
