Harman expands Ready product range for automakers

Harman has announced enhancements across its Ready product portfolio for automakers, spanning software-defined vehicle (SDV) tools, in-cabin audio, safety systems and display technologies. The Samsung subsidiary said the updates are designed to help automakers reduce integration complexity, accelerate development cycles and deliver upgradeable in-vehicle experiences.

The SDV toolchain includes Ready CQuence Loop for cloud-native validation and Ready CQuence Run, described as the industry’s only Type-1 automotive hypervisor for mixed-criticality isolation, deployed across more than 20 million electronic control units. Harman’s over-the-air update system supports more than 80 million vehicles globally.

Audio updates include Ready StreamShare, which enables up to four personalised media zones, and HALOsonic Electronic Sound Synthesis for customisable vehicle sound signatures. Safety offerings include Ready Care for driver and occupant monitoring with single-heartbeat detection, and Ready Aware for vehicle-to-network hazard alerts with machine learning to reduce false positives.

Display technologies include the Ready Display with Samsung Neo QLED, certified for HDR10+ Automotive, and Ready Vision QVUE windshield display with gaze-aware brightness tuning.
