Fuso launches eCanter electric truck in the UAE

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), a Daimler Truck company, has launched the new eCanter all-electric light-duty truck in the United Arab Emirates, with an event held in Dubai in collaboration with authorised distributor Al Habtoor Motors that brought together customers, partners and stakeholders from across the commercial vehicle sector. The eCanter, described as Japan’s first mass-produced electric light-duty truck, has already been introduced in multiple global markets and is designed for applications including city logistics, municipal services and last-mile delivery.

The vehicle offers zero tailpipe emissions, reduced noise levels and lower operating costs. It is available with multiple battery configurations and flexible body options, allowing operators to tailor the truck to specific requirements.

Built on Fuso’s light-duty truck platform, the eCanter features electric driveline technology alongside advanced safety and driver-assistance systems. The launch reflects growing demand for sustainable transport solutions in the region and supports the UAE’s broader clean mobility objectives.
