Denso will invest US$69m to construct a 280,000-square-foot logistics centre in Lebanon, Tennessee, with groundbreaking targeted for summer 2026 and opening in spring 2027, replacing the supplier’s current operation in Wilson County with a larger facility. The project will retain 100 jobs in the area, with all current team members offered the opportunity to transition to the new location.
The facility will feature robotics and automation technologies alongside climate control, dedicated locker rooms and expanded break areas. The Tennessee Valley Authority and the Joint Economic and Community Development Board of Wilson County are supporting the project.
“Through this new facility, we’ll not only improve how we deliver to customers but also create new opportunities for our team to work with the latest robotics and automation technologies,” Chief Executive of Denso in North America Tomoyuki Arakawa said.
North America Chief Manufacturing Officer Marty Deschenes added: “The transformation of our Wilson County operation is about more than a new building. It’s about empowering our team members, improving our speed and flexibility and, ultimately, advancing Denso into a new era of operational excellence.”
The investment advances Denso’s strategy to standardise its manufacturing operations while aligning its distribution network with long-term priorities.
