The Tiggo V is Chery’s first model capable of switching between SUV, MPV, and pickup modes, debuting at Auto China 2026 on April 24.
Chery has unveiled the Tiggo V at Auto China 2026, a transformable SUV capable of switching between three configurations: SUV, MPV, and pickup. The model is available in both PHEV and ICE variants and is positioned as Chery’s primary family-focused global offering.
In SUV mode, the Tiggo V offers 220mm of ground clearance, with wading depth of 700mm on the PHEV and 650mm on the ICE. MPV mode makes use of a 2,800mm wheelbase to accommodate a three-row, seven-seat layout with 42 storage compartments. A quick-detach rear barrier enables the pickup configuration, which Chery says requires no additional modification for outdoor or cargo use.
The Tiggo V is powered by Chery’s sixth-generation hybrid system, which the company says balances performance and fuel efficiency. Intelligent parking assist is included across the range.
Chery described the Tiggo V as the first model launched under its “2030 Ten-Million Family Letters Plan,” a programme framing the brand’s long-term focus on family-oriented vehicles.
