The BMW iX3 heralds the beginning of a new era for the brand as it marks the arrival of the long-awaited Neue Klasse. Hailed as the blueprint for future mobility, the foundational technologies of this vehicle will be integrated into 40 models and model updates by 2027. “We are bringing the future into everything,” says Jörn Freyer, BMW’s Vice President of UI/UX development.
In the wake of the digital revolution and the advent of AI, Freyer’s domain is becoming increasingly important, and the iX3 introduces some potential industry disruptors.
