The Longline cab combines Scania’s CrewCab with the S-series high-roof cab in a configuration the truckmaker says is unique to factory
Scania has moved its Longline cab into regular low-volume production, offering customers an extended cab option built around a combination of the truckmaker’s CrewCab and S-series high-roof platform. Sales begin in April 2026 with first deliveries expected this autumn, and Scania says no other OEM currently offers a comparable factory-certified configuration.
The cab is built in Laxå, with chassis production in Södertälje. Scania says Longline is designed as a flexible platform rather than a fully fitted-out interior, with a limited factory configuration behind the seats including a standard bed with storage or shelving and clearly defined mounting points for customer-specified interior builds.

In a statement, Lars Gustafsson, Head of Trucks at Scania, said: “This is a natural evolution of a concept that has long been appreciated by customers. With Longline, we combine heritage with modern industrialisation and offer a platform that can be tailored to individual needs.”
Initially, Longline will be available in 28 and 31 length versions, both with a high roof and an interior height exceeding two metres for standing room. The cab is adapted to European Increased Vehicle Dimensions (IVD) legislation, which allows operators across Europe to use longer vehicles, and Scania says the project began in 2022.
