The rear-wheel-drive sporty EV starts at €26,900 with up to 482 km of WLTP range, orders open in initial markets on 23 April
Leapmotor has launched the B05, its first sporty electric model for Europe, at the Poznań Motor Show, with orders opening in initial markets on 23 April. Starting at €26,900 (US$31,468), the rear-wheel-drive car offers a choice of two batteries and up to 482 km of WLTP range, expanding the Chinese brand’s European electric lineup.
The B05 uses a rear-wheel-drive electric powertrain delivering 160 kW and 240 Nm of torque, with a claimed 0-100 km/h time of 6.7 seconds. Leapmotor said the suspension has been co-tuned with Stellantis chassis engineers, paired with a 50:50 weight distribution.

Two battery options are offered: a 56.2 kW/h pack delivering 401 km of WLTP range, and a 67.1 kW/h ProMax version providing up to 482 km. DC charging at up to 174 kW takes the pack from 30% to 80% in about 17 minutes, with Cell-to-Chassis (CTC) battery integration said to raise volumetric energy density by 13%.
Safety equipment includes seven airbags and 21 driver-assistance features operated through 14 sensors and cameras, providing Level 2 functionality. Leapmotor is targeting a five-star Euro NCAP rating, with official results expected by the end of 2026.
The B05 is offered in two trims: Life, available with either battery; and Design, offered exclusively with the 67.1 kW/h ProMax pack and adding refined interior materials and an upgraded audio system. Cabin features include a 14.6-inch central touchscreen and an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster.
