Uber has agreed to acquire global chauffeur platform Blacklane, strengthening its position in premium and corporate travel across 60 countries
Uber has agreed to acquire Blacklane, the Berlin-founded global chauffeur service operating in more than 500 cities across 60 countries, as the ride-hailing firm expands its presence in the premium and executive travel segment. The deal, which is subject to regulatory approval and expected to close by the end of 2026, will complement Uber Elite, the company’s recently launched chauffeur offering.
Founded in 2011, Blacklane connects travellers with independent local chauffeur services via an app and web platform, and has established itself as a provider of choice for corporate clients. Uber says executive travel and pre-booked Uber Reserve trips are among the fastest-growing parts of its mobility business.

“Premium travel is one of the most exciting growth areas of Uber’s business,” said Dara Khosrowshahi, Chief Executive of Uber. “We’re incredibly impressed by what Blacklane has built and we’re eager to work with them to amplify how we deliver truly exceptional service to more people in cities around the world.”
Dr Jens Wohltorf, founder and Chief Executive of Blacklane, said: “Fifteen years after our vision to make premium travel frictionless, we are bringing luxury hospitality expertise to Uber as a leading player in mobility. This partnership marks a significant milestone in Blacklane’s next chapter.”
