MapUp and Lyft renew six-year toll intelligence partnership

MapUp and Lyft have renewed their multi-year partnership, extending six years of toll intelligence provision across US and Canadian operations

MapUp and Lyft have renewed their strategic partnership to continue delivering toll intelligence across the rideshare platform’s operations in the United States and Canada. The multi-year renewal extends a relationship that began in 2019, during which MapUp’s platform has provided upfront toll pricing for riders and automated reimbursements for drivers.

The platform calculates toll costs in advance, incorporating them into ride receipts and processing driver payments without manual intervention. MapUp says the system is designed to manage tolling at scale across complex, multi-region networks, and the renewal anticipates further expansion into new geographies.

“Over the last six years, MapUp helped us transform toll management from a complex operational hurdle into streamlined, software-based efficiency,” Shaun Morber, Director of Maps Engineering at Lyft, said. “As we look toward the future and expand our global footprint, having a trusted partner that can scale with our technical needs is essential.”

Maneesh Mahlawat, Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder of MapUp, added: “As Lyft expands into new geographies and advances toward autonomous vehicles, we’re proud to support the infrastructure behind that evolution, ensuring accurate, transparent tolling across every mode of mobility.”
