Nissan now expects to lose JP¥650bn in FY2026, and its Q3 results highlight the costs of its current restructuring plans. By Ian Henry
The appointment of Ivan Espinosa as Chief Executive of Nissan in 2025 acted as the spur needed to begin a long overdue restructuring of business. The last time Nissan appointed a non-Japanese national, Carlos Ghosn, to run the company this led to a period of success, although it did not last.
