Valeo has added Highway Navigation on Autopilot to its Smart Safety 360 platform, aiming the function at mass-market vehicles
Valeo has added Highway Navigation on Autopilot (NOA) functionality to its Smart Safety 360 (VSS360) ADAS platform, in a bid to bring the high-end automated driving feature into mass-market vehicles. The French supplier unveiled the upgrade at Auto China 2026 in Beijing, with the system already in series production in China since October 2025 for an unnamed major OEM.
VSS360 uses the smart front camera as the central compute for other ADAS sensors, allowing OEMs to remove individual ECUs from the vehicle architecture. The platform offers full 360-degree coverage through front, surround and rear cameras, front and corner radars, and ultrasonic sensors.
The NOA function allows a vehicle to follow a navigation route under driver supervision, including automated lane changes to overtake, highway interchange handling and speed adjustment based on map data and traffic flow. Valeo said the system is delivered as a hands-on, driver-supervised feature designed for safety and regulatory compliance.
In a statement, Marc Vrecko, Chief Executive of Valeo’s Brain Division, said: “Valeo is the world leader in ADAS systems and our teams are committed to developing the best technologies and to making them affordable to all. By adding Highway Navigation on Autopilot to our solution, we are delivering a high-value, mass-market solution to contribute to safer roads and more comfortable driving for everyone.”
