Tasaru Supplier Hub has confirmed agreements with five global tier-one suppliers to localise component manufacturing at King Abdullah Economic City
Tasaru Supplier Hub has announced agreements with five global tier-one suppliers to localise automotive component manufacturing in Saudi Arabia, in a development disclosed at the fourth PIF Private Sector Forum 2026. The hub, developed by Tasaru Mobility Investments — a Public Investment Fund company — is located within Masarat Mobility Park at the King Salman Automotive Cluster in King Abdullah Economic City.
The five suppliers will manufacture critical components within the hub’s shared infrastructure to serve OEMs including Ceer and Lucid Motors. South Korean metal stamping specialist Shin Young will support structural body-in-white production; US firm JVIS will produce injection-moulded exterior plastic parts through a local entity, JVIS KSA; German supplier Benteler will manufacture subframes, axles, and hot-formed structural components; Fangxin will produce instrument panels, centre consoles, and door panels; and Lear Corporation will manufacture seating and foam for OEMs in the Kingdom.
The cluster benefits from proximity to port infrastructure, road connectivity, and regulatory facilitation at King Abdullah Economic City.
In a statement, Michael Mueller, Chief Executive of Tasaru Mobility Investments, said: “By attracting tier-1 global critical suppliers, the Kingdom is not just participating in the automotive race; it is building the track. These partnerships advance economic diversification and deliver long-term industrial resilience through strategic localisation.”
