SWTCH Energy has launched the Flex Charger and Smart Outlet, completing a line-up from Level 1 charging to high-power DC fast charging
EV charging firm SWTCH Energy has launched two new hardware products — the SWTCH Flex Charger and the SWTCH Smart Outlet — completing a portfolio that now spans Level 1 and Level 2 AC charging through to high-power DC fast charging. Both devices integrate natively with SWTCH Cortex, the company’s charging management platform, and are compliant with the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP).
The Flex Charger is available in Level 1 and Level 2 variants, while the Smart Outlet uses a bring-your-own-cable (BYOC) design intended to reduce exposure to cable theft, which SWTCH describes as a widespread problem across the charging industry. Both products support advanced energy management, offline charging, integrated billing, access control and analytics through SWTCH Cortex.

The expanded lineup is positioned at property operators managing diverse site types, allowing a single network to support a mix of charging hardware without requiring multiple vendors or systems. Target applications include residential buildings, commercial campuses, retail destinations and highway corridors.
In a statement, Carter Li, Chief Executive of SWTCH Energy, said: “With the launch of the SWTCH Smart Outlet and SWTCH Flex Charger, we’re giving customers purpose-built hardware that works seamlessly with SWTCH Cortex so they can future-proof their facilities while delivering reliable charging for every driver.”
