Subaru has unveiled the three-row Getaway BEV in New York, with 300-plus miles of range and a late 2026 US market launch
Subaru has unveiled the Getaway at the 2026 New York International Auto Show, its fourth battery electric vehicle (BEV) and first three-row midsize SUV in the segment. The 2027 model, co-developed with Toyota, is scheduled for release in the US market in late 2026.

The Getaway is offered with two battery options, 77.0 kW/h and 95.8 kW/h. The larger pack provides a range of more than 300 miles and supports charging from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes using a 150kW charger, aided by an onboard battery preconditioning system. The vehicle uses a North American Charging Standard (NACS) charge port.

Dual front and rear motors produce a maximum system output of 420 horsepower, with all-wheel drive fitted as standard. Subaru said the suspension and drivetrain have been tuned for straight-line stability across varying surfaces.

The three-row interior benefits from the flat floor architecture common to BEV platforms, with seating configurations across all three rows. A 14-inch multimedia touchscreen with wireless smartphone connectivity is included.
The Getaway is the largest-bodied model in Subaru’s BEV lineup to date. The automaker said it will continue expanding its product range across electric, hybrid and internal combustion engine vehicles to respond to evolving market conditions.
