Infineum has become the first additive supplier to win Stellantis’ new FPW9.55535/03 engine oil specification approval
Infineum has become the first additive supplier to gain official approval against Stellantis’ new FPW9.55535/03 engine oil specification, with its P6895 additive technology. The approval covers Stellantis’ latest standard for internal combustion engine (ICE) and hybrid vehicles, allowing oil marketers using P6895 to formulate Stellantis-approved products with brand and warranty assurance.
Infineum P6895 is also backward-compatible with several legacy Stellantis and Opel/Vauxhall specifications, including PSA B71 2297, PSA B71 2290, OV 040 1547–G30 and OV D30 5W-30. This is intended to broaden coverage across the Stellantis vehicle parc and simplify lubricant product portfolios for marketers.
P6895 has been commercial since 2023. The additive is designed for ICE and hybrid powertrains, with Infineum citing flexibility for marketers’ product offerings.
“We are proud to be the first to achieve official Stellantis FPW9.55535/03 approval with a product that is available to all oil marketers,” Andrea Ghionzoli, Head of Operational Marketing for EMEA at Infineum, said in a statement. “Infineum P6895 has demonstrated outstanding performance even in the most demanding Stellantis tests. This milestone means our customers can move quickly and confidently to deliver against Stellantis’ latest requirements, backed by an approval that oil marketers and end-users can trust.”
