Rick Case parking garage unveiled at Baptist Health Medical Center in Plantation

The naming follows a one-million-dollar gift from Rita Case that benefits microsurgery research and technology at Baptist Health Orthopedic Care.

Plantation, Florida (January 22, 2026) – Rita Case, president and CEO of Rick Case Automotive Group, has generously gifted one million dollars to Baptist Health Foundation to benefit microsurgery research and technology at Baptist Health Orthopedic Care. The gift was recently recognized with the naming of the Rick Case Parking Garage at the Baptist Health Medical Center.

“Research and technology are paramount to the future of healthcare,” said Case. “One of our most important philanthropic pillars is healthcare, and Baptist Health provides us with extraordinary care, life-saving technology and high-quality services throughout South Florida. We join Baptist Health in continuing to build a healthier community.”

The gift will support best-in-class technology, staff, equipment, education, research and other infrastructure related to microsurgery and biomechanics for orthopedic and nerve treatment, helping Baptist Health orthopedic surgeons and researchers restore mobility, function and quality of life for patients with hand injuries and disabilities.

“Rick loved to be surrounded by cars and now he will be with his name on a 1,000-space parking garage,” Case added. “It’s fitting that we are here in Plantation. It was 40 years ago that we opened the first Acura and Hyundai dealerships in the U.S. in Plantation.”
