Renault rebrands charging activities as Plug Inn

Renault Group is unifying its fast-charging, V2G and charge pass services under the Plug Inn brand from April 202

Renault Group is consolidating all of its charging activities under a single brand, Plug Inn, bringing together its fast-charging network, bidirectional charging solution and Europe-wide charge pass into one ecosystem. The rebrand takes effect from April for fast-charging stations in France, replacing the Mobilize Beyond Automotive identity, with remaining services to follow by the end of 2026.

The Plug Inn umbrella covers three products: Plug Inn fast charge, an ultra-fast charging network; Plug Inn powerbox, a bidirectional vehicle-to-grid (V2G) solution; and Plug Inn charge pass, a single payment platform for charging access across Europe. Charging activities previously operated under Mobilize Beyond Automotive have been fully integrated into Renault Group’s commercial operations.

The Plug Inn fast charge network, launched in 2023, operates stations of up to 320 kW, capable of adding up to 400 km of range in around 15 minutes. Predominantly located at Renault dealerships near major roads and open to all EV brands, the network targets 93 stations by the end of 2026 and reports reliability above 99%.

In a statement, Jérôme Faton, Vice-President of Customer Experience and Energy at Renault Group, said: “Our priority is to simplify every step of the electric experience for our customers by offering them a reliable, clear and scalable charging ecosystem. With Plug Inn, we are setting a structuring milestone: an infrastructure designed to support, on a large scale, the ramp-up of zero-emission mobility in Europe.”
