Quectel is showcasing mmWave radar solutions for vehicles at MWC Barcelona, including collision warning and blind spot detection
Quectel Wireless Solutions is showcasing its automotive-grade mmWave radar solutions at MWC Barcelona, including forward collision warning, blind spot detection and tailgate kick-to-open applications. The IoT solutions provider is also demonstrating digital key products and a 5G telematics control unit at the show.
The company’s 77GHz forward collision warning radar offers a detection range exceeding 220 metres for passenger vehicles and can track up to 40 dynamic targets simultaneously. Its blind spot detection radar provides monitoring with a range of up to 100 metres for cars and can track up to 20 targets.

Quectel is also presenting two smart digital key solutions at the show. The AP001 integrates Bluetooth Low Energy and ultra-wideband functionalities, while the AP002 uses near-field communication for vehicle access, locking and engine start operations. Both products are designed to meet automotive-grade environmental, mechanical and electromagnetic compatibility requirements.
In a statement, Min Wang, General Manager of the Automotive Business Unit at Quectel Wireless Solutions, said: “Global OEMs are looking for solutions that combine precision sensing, secure connectivity and automotive-grade reliability and these demonstrations serve to underline Quectel’s commitment to the automotive sector.”
The company says its radar and digital key portfolio emphasises AEC-Q compliance, high robustness and compact design to support global OEM automotive projects.
