Chinese automotive AI supplier Patel is developing on-vehicle large model solutions on Nvidia’s DRIVE AGX Thor platform alongside an unnamed NEV OEM.
Chinese automotive AI supplier Pateo has announced collaborations with Nvidia and an unnamed new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturer to accelerate the deployment of on-vehicle AI large models. The company will develop AI box solutions on Nvidia’s DRIVE AGX Thor accelerated computing platform to support vehicle-side deployment of next-generation AI models.
PATEO has also received a project nomination from the unnamed NEV OEM for what it describes as the world’s first AI box solution integrating hardware and software in a single package led by Pateo. The project couples ByteDance’s general AI large model with Pateo’s own edge large model, built on the company’s in-vehicle infotainment user data.
The company said the collaborations mark progress toward mass production of on-vehicle AI capabilities, with current development focused on physical AI, AI agents, and AI emotional agent applications. Pateo said is also exploring billing models based on computing power consumption and vehicle-mounted token usage.
