Mercedes-Benz previews new S-Class ahead of debut

Mercedes-Benz has previewed its updated S-Class ahead of the model’s world premiere on 29 January, with Chief Executive Ola Källenius presenting details in a short film released on YouTube. The automaker said more than 50% of the vehicle’s parts—around 2,700 components—are new or updated, describing the refresh as one of the most comprehensive in the model’s history.

Changes to the S-Class include a revised exterior design featuring an upright star on the bonnet, the Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS) for digital functions, and expanded Manufaktur Made to Measure personalisation options. The vehicle also features an enhanced Airmatic air suspension with intelligent damper regulation.

In a statement, Källenius said: “Only very few cars have shaped the automotive industry like the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Drawing on 140 years of relentless innovation, it remains the benchmark for safety, comfort, and engineering excellence. What Carl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler began was more than a revolutionary mobility technology—it was a promise. And today, the new S-Class is proof of that.”
